A new Analysis Group study has found that PJM, the RTO servicing the nation’s largest wholesale electricity market region, is already taking steps to ensure its electric system reliability and will not need a “Reliability Safety Valve” to comply with the EPA’s proposed Clean Power Plan. The study concludes that, “PJM has effectively administered processes to manage this transition in a way that meets both reliability and efficiency objectives.”
